Patrollers:
Patrol Streets: Patrollers conduct regular patrols of the neighborhood. They typically walk, bike, or drive through the community to deter criminal activity and report any suspicious behavior.
Visibility: Their presence is often a deterrent to criminals, as they make the community more visible and less appealing for illegal activities.
Observation: Patrollers are trained to observe and report suspicious individuals, vehicles, or activities. They note details and share this information with law enforcement or the NHW.
Community Engagement: Patrollers also engage with residents, encouraging them to be vigilant and take safety precautions. They may distribute safety information and discuss security concerns with neighbors.
Responders:
Emergency Response: Responders are NHW members who are trained to respond to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, security breaches, or incidents requiring immediate assistance.
First Aid: Some of our responders have first-aid or medical training and can provide initial medical assistance until professional help arrives.
Security Support: In security-related emergencies, responders coordinate with law enforcement, alert patrollers, and take appropriate actions to secure the area.
Communication: Responders maintain communication channels within the NHW, ensuring that relevant information is disseminated to patrollers and community members.
