Welcome to the Assagay Neighbourhood Watch!

We're not just a watch, we're a dedicated team of local volunteers collaborating with the CPF, security firms, emergency services, and the municipality to ramp up safety and security. As a volunteer-driven operation, we rely on your community donations to drive the pace of security and community projects.

Our volunteers live and breathe Assagay, committed to ensuring our community stays safe and inviting. While safety is our top priority, we're also passionate about bettering Assagay. We dive into projects that uplift our community, making it an even more appealing place to call home.

HERE ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF OUR COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS:

1. Enhanced Security and Safety: By working in tandem, we can further bolster the security measures of our neighbourhood, implementing proactive strategies to deter potential incidents. this is how we support that:

• Dedicated Volunteer Patrollers: We have a dedicated team of volunteer patrollers that drive at various times keeping a watch for criminal elements.

• Emergency Response Network: We respond to and coordinate emergency calls where possible (crime, fire and medical related)

• Integrated Cameras and Intelligence: We install monitored camera systems throughout our footprint.

• Collaboration and Partnerships: We work with SAPS, Metro, CPF, Security Companies and other NHWs to take the fight to the criminals. And yes, we follow through and appear in court where required.

2. Area Betterment: 

• We engage with the local councilors and officials on service delivery complaints.

• We keep our neighbourhood looking neat, tidy and free of hiding spots. We also keep watch over vacant properties to deter property invasion.

3. Community Cohesion: Joining the NHW fosters a sense of belonging within our larger community. It provides an opportunity to connect with fellow residents and obtain community insights.

4 Knowledge Exchange: Our NHW members bring a wealth of experience and insights into a broad array of matters. Together, we can tap into this collective knowledge to address various issues.

5. Peace of Mind: The NHW serves as an additional layer of security, offering reassurance and peace of mind to residents (both inside and outside estates). Your support is key to this.
